For many of us, Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season. A festive, turkey fueled transition into Christmas, if you will. It’s the official marker for “I can put my tree up free from ridicule now”. The flavors of cinnamon, ginger and vanilla will be in full swing. Starbucks will replace their pumpkin spice with the gingerbread latte… basic girls will lament the passing of their beloved fall concoction by ordering it venti with extra whip. I have to admit, I’m team ginger bread over pumpkin spice. Actually, when it comes to coffee, I’m team americano… I’m not big on the fluffy coffee. The flavors, though! Cinnamon, ginger and vanilla… these are all holiday all day.
In honor of the transition, serve this at your Thanksgiving feast. A sweet and bubbly treat to wash dinner down. It’s ultra simple which makes it perfect for a gathering. I mean, you already slaved over the gottdamned turkey, right? Treat yo’self.
You will need the following:
- Vanilla vodka
- Fireball whiskey
- Ginger beer
- Cinnamon sticks for garnish
Directions:
- In a shaker glass, add one shot of the fireball whiskey, two shots of vanilla vodka and shake over ice.
- Poor evenly into two chilled martini or champagne cocktail glasses.
- Top off with the ginger beer and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Serve, drink, repeat. Warm yourselves as you enjoy your friends and family. Most of all, enjoy your friends and family. Swearing Mom out.
