Honey Bourbon Lemonade

Yeah, you read that right! Honey+Bourbon+Lemon=a southern sunset on a porch swing! Ok, I haven’t actually spent time in The South (unless you count SoCal!) but this is how I would imagine it! I love bourbon, obviously, and I LOVE honey. Especially this spun raw honey that I’ve been getting lately. I could just eat it with a spoon (I may or may not just eat it with a spoon), it has a kind of grit to it. Man… I think I should get a spoonful right now! Better yet, I’ll settle for this here cocktail!

You will need the following:

  • 3 oz. bourbon, I used Maker’s Mark (duh, it’s totally my fav and if you follow me, you know this!)
  • The juice of two lemons
  • 2 heaping tablespoons of honey
  • lemon seltzer water

Directions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, mix the lemon juice and honey until the honey is completely dissolved. Add the bourbon and mix well.
  2. Pour evenly over two ice filled glasses and top off with the seltzer water. Garnish with a slice of lemon and enjoy! I know I did!

Swearing Mom out.
