It’s the first day of fall. The leaves are changing, the sky is grey and there’s a hint of the blustery winds that indicate that winter is just around the corner… screech to a grinding halt! I live in LA where it will be a bright and shiny 85 degrees today. Man, do I miss weather! I “do fall”, though. I will pump that AC and make a hearty soup. I’ll slip on some comfy socks and bake a spiced dessert… and I’ll drink the hell out of an autumn themed cocktail! My friend Liz and my mama were visiting over the weekend and that’s exactly what we did! I combined my favorite bourbon with a classic unfiltered apple juice and spiced it up with Fireball whiskey! Y’all got Fireball? As our friend Tyler would say 🙂
You will need the following:
- Bourbon, I like Maker’s Mark… As you know!
- Fireball Whiskey!
- Apple juice or cider
- The juice of 1/4 lemon
- Sparkling water
Directions:
- Measure 1 shot of bourbon, 2 shots of Fireball, the juice of 1/4 lemon and 1/2 cup of apple juice into a shaker glass. Give it a swirl and pour over two ice filled double old fashioned glasses.
- Top off with sparkling water.
- Garnish with an apple round and drink up!
Swearing Mom out.
omfg this is too funny. I’ll drink some fireball with you! Except where I live it will actually become cold soon. 😥 Currently, we’re in the 65 early morning to 85 degrees by noon portion. So you have to dress for like EVERY SEASON IN ONE DAY. HELP.
Send me some of this fiery bourbon apple drink! Here’s to getting some drank!
BTW fun side note: I actually ate a spicy bourbon macaron today and it tasted like FALL ❤
Omg… the macaroon sounds amazing!
