Bitches Brew

The Rockstar is a jazz lover and will be happy to see the name I chose as an homage to Miles Davis. I confess, that makes me happy as well but really… in my heart, I just wanted to say Bitches. I wanted to make a party drink for the high holiday, All Hallows’ Eve! It also needed to look the part! By “party drink”, I mean easy to put together en masse or have your guests build their own. Just because you throw a party doesn’t mean you have to play bartender all night!

This recipe really fit the bill. Champagne is always good for parties and as bonuses you get bubbling cauldron smoke and fresh drops of blood! This is a devilishly good drink! Make it for your spooktacular event or brew up a batch for your wicked bitches!

You will need the following:

  • Vodka, I like belvedere but your fav will do!
  • Brut champagne
  • Pomegranate juice
  • Pomegranate seeds (available at Trader Joe’s)
  • Dry ice- this ingredient can be optional as it’s only real purpose is the desired smoky effect, but it’s cheap and ultra cool of you can swing it!

Directions:

  1. In an ice filled cocktail shaker, combine 2 shots of vodka and a half a cup of pomegranate juice. Shake well and pour into your champagne cocktail glass (use regular champagne glasses if need be)
  2. Top off with champagne and a few drops of blood (pomegranate seeds)
  3. Add one small piece (about the size of a quarter) of dry ice.

You will have SO much fun with this bubbling beverage! Be sure to touch back here and let me know! Pictures are most welcome! Swearing Mom out.
